I call this the Flamingo rapier as there is a Flamingo head on one of the scroll bars, a matching one has broken off. Its a transitional rapier/smallsword with a 36.5" blade engraved in the fuller GINGILY NV 1658 which could be Italian? The pommel is not original, but this is a light and very well balanced piece.
